Friendly service, lots of locals, fresh fish

I got the Teriyaki chicken Bento box with tempura and California sushi rolls. I started with the spicy tuna rolls which were bland. The Bento box had a smidgen of rice and the chicken was not cut into chopstick size portions. I gave it a 3 because the service was very good

Our family has been eating at Ichi Riki for 40 years, and we keep going back. Many Japanese American citizens go there as well, always a good sign.

Great Authentic Japanese Restaurant. I'm not a sushi fan, but when the waiter brought our sushi plate, it looked perfect. My party ate it up! Great service and amazing food. Thank you Ichi-Riki

Best miso in town honestly. Have been here many times food is usually really good, but have had one questionable time and had the tonkotsu which the meat smelled, tasted and looked different by color too. All bad. Was told it was a different cut of the meat by the server, but it was obviously going bad and threw up shortly after having a small amount. Unprofessional to question the customer if an order tastes bad for sure. Other times it has been truly great beforehand, but tough to adventure back after the one bad experience. Would still come back for that miso though!

Very rare I give 5 stars. Food was very good. Fast service and polite staff. They even carded me for a beer. Random select for lunch. Good cuts / quality of fish that I had. I will be back.

Their chirashi is the best in town. Great value, beautiful selection of fish.

Best Sushi in California. I travel all over the country with a motorcycle racing team and always look forward to coming home for my sushi fix. Best service from sushi bar. Good table service if you have some time to spare. Please try it. You will enjoy the great fresh food. Japanese owners know how to provide any special roll or plate you enjoy...

Old school Japanese restaurant serving good food..keeping it simple

Always great! They've been around since at least the early 90s. Get your own private rooms with paper doors like they have in Japan...shoes off....enjoy! Wish I wasn't6 hours south!!

I always stop purchasing some food in this spot. I liked the swift service and well cooked dishes. I recommend this place.

Very pricey for what we received, but it was good and fresh. However, the spicy tuna roll was like a big chunk of tuna with something spicy. I guess the places I usually get sushi in the east bay do it a little different. It was good. But a $17 dragon roll with ell, I thought it was going to be gigantic, and it was not. That was strange since spicy tuna was $6.Staff was friendly though and service was great - which would make sense, since we were one of 3 tables in their large restaurant last weekend.

Very friendly and fast service, their presentation looks great and the portions are very filling! Has some of the best miso soup I’ve tried since I prefer the not-too salty miso soup. And the design of the place is pretty comfortable, will come again!

Went here for a business trip and this place popped up within walking distance of my hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. As a solo diner, I sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious bento box. Good food and quiet charming atmosphere. They weren't big on variety, but they had all your basics. It solved my sushi craving with rolls, tempura, teriyaki, and a salad - all for a very decent price.

The atmosphere is great. Food is delicious. You can even request a enclosed room in the back where you sit on the floor. It's a $10 up charge for the room but well worth it.

No sushi salmon at lunch time on a Saturday- ouch! Told me the salmon was frozen. Only had one waiter during lunch rush. Place was very clean. Received friendly service.

“Icky and Sticky”Without question, my worst Japanese restaurant experience ever! Filthy place, innattentive, lazy employees and the food was not good. When I entered this restaurant I was the only patron. All of the employees were seated at the bar and nearly every table was covered with dirty dishes and a sticky mess. At first I thought they were closed. The staff refused to acknowledge me. I had to ask to be seated when I should have just left. I was reluctantly pointed towards a table where I sat and waited for the longest time before the waitress finally arrived. Again, my better judgment would have been to just get up and leave. Of course, there was no redemption once the food arrived. Needless to say I won’t return. There are too many other good Japanese restaurants in the area.

Amazing Salmon Entree!! Perfection every single time I order it with my significant other & their salad dressing is soooo good I like to pour it over my rice once I'm almost finished with my salad. So delicious! It would be nice if their miso soup had small slivers of seaweed but that's just my preference.

This place doesn't have a variety of sushi rolls but the simple rolls they have here are good. The service isn't the greatest at least in the dining area. I noticed that the sushi bar people got attended well by the chefs.

I just love their fish. Understated, no frills, classic, traditional, authentic Japanese fare, with quality standards and no excessive sauces to cover mediocre product. Singa-San has been serving top- notch food to our family for three generations now, and won't ever steer you wrong.

Take out only. The sushi rolls are very nice and the teriyaki was also very good. Good service at a reasonable price.
